Rio D’Ouro Branquinha is the pure distillate, bottled at 40 percent alcohol and aged for an average of one year. This digestif is recommended for those who appreciate a fine sugarcane rum, as it still preserves the natural flavor and aroma of the cane. Thanks to the organic cultivation of the Caldeiras fields, this beverage retains intense yet well-integrated aromas that are elegant and smooth on the nose, giving it exceptional qualities for crafting an excellent caipirinha.

Crioula

A Rio d'Ouro Crioula é uma aguardente Branquinha envelhecida com canela e baunilha. A canela (Miconia albicans) e a baunilha, ambas cultivadas em São Tomé e Príncipe, conferem à bebida um paladar único, suave e elegante, criando uma experiência sensorial distinta.

Premium

Rio D’Ouro Premium is our Branquinha sugarcane rum aged for a minimum of 3 years in oak casks. Exclusive and produced in limited quantities, the humid tropical climate at 25ºC imparts a truly special aroma. Better than any description, it must be tasted.

I visited the Rio D’Ouro distillery in São Tomé and Príncipe in 2022. I was very pleased to see the entire production process, explained in detail by the owner, Nelson. They use copper stills with natural fermentation and fresh sugarcane juice as the base. I highly recommend visiting the distillery when you are in São Tomé and Príncipe, and I look forward to tasting their aged cane spirit in Europe.
